Five Mistakes That Caught A Killer

On an August afternoon in 2002, schoolgirls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman left home to buy sweets. The 10-year-olds were never seen alive again.

Their disappearance sparked one of Britain’s biggest-ever manhunts and their killings will forever stain the name of Soham, Cambridgeshire.

Within a fortnight, the caretaker at the local high school, Ian Huntley, was arrested for the girls’ murders. When he was sentenced to life the following year, everyone assumed it was an open and shut case.

Five Mistakes that Caught a Killer shows how Huntley – now jailed for a minimum of 40 years – could have actually walked free. His convictions were secured as a result of his own mistakes.
